February 25th, the High School H2O Research Team traveled to University of Oregon to present their research posters. For the past six months, our students worked hard and even got to collaborate with scientists out at the Hatfield Marine Science Center. Every one of these projects was inspired by the students' interests and represents completely original contributions to science research. Our seven brave students presented their research to a panel of judges. The team earned multiple awards and prizes from the competition, including the most prestigious award at the fair, a $2,000 scholarship to OSU that was presented to Omar! Each Siletz group was asked to present at the State competition in the Spring at Portland State University.
